His methods change from patient to patient, he normally starts of with client centered therapies rather than patient centered therapies. He often prescribes medications so that he, not the patient can obtain them. And he uses conditioning to retrain different habits into the patient. He also developed a couple types of therapy of his own three of the most prominent being; Total Isolationism, Hug Therapy, and Nap Time.

Feliciano is very happy go lucky, he never stops smiling around the patients and treats each and everyone of them like little children that he adores bestowing knowledge upon and he is very overenthusiastic about each new session. Feliciano's parents died when he was young (giving him severe abandonment issues) and so he lived with his Grandpa and the many relatives that came in and out of Grandpa's house coming and going as they pleased (not helping the abandonment issues) and his brother who was always there bye his side. His grandpa died senior year of high school (lets target those issues some more why don't we) and Feliciano inherited everything his grandpa owned, and the responsibility of watching out for his twin, who people were beginning to realize had quite abnormal mood swing and a grim focus to his thoughts. Feliciano, in an attempt to keep his brother constantly pacified learns how to make it so that he never shows other people anything but a smiling happy demeanor.

Feliciano Vargas started started studying to be a psychologist when his brother was diagnosed with a severe bipolar disorder and a small case of paranoid schizophrenia that his current doctor didn't seem to be doing a very good job of curing. Three months before receiving his doctorate in both psychology and psychiatry his brother committed suicide (adding to the long list of people Feliciano felt had abandoned him) and Feli was the one to find him in the garage surrounded by the tools he had been trying and failing to kill himself with. His final method of death was asphyxiation with the aid of some heavy duty wire and one of the garage rafters. Now any tools resembling household tools, and the only occupation he is qualified for bring back terrible memories of the emotional trauma his brother gave him both in the way he chose to die and things he did while he was alive. But he had to have a way to support himself somehow, so he repressed his own emotional trauma, and got a job at the nice little asylum out in the countryside, where his emotions don't matter and he cane focus totally and wholly on helping the patients recover and react normally within society in a way his brother never could.
Though there is a rumor That Doctor Vargas doesn't actually like to see his patients cured, that he purposely makes it so that he'll never have to sign for the release of anyone in the institution. That way, they can all stay one big happy family, and he won't have to worry about being abandoned again.
