Before the lesson (attn. Anyone)

Is waiting for his lesson to begin. Is new here, so is a bit lost... Matthew is looking around a bit. He's glad that he at least knows where his first lesson is going to be.

He looks around, watching the other students.
Why did papa make me come to this school? I've been here for less than five minutes, and I'm already feeling really uncomfortable... They're not noticing me, no one ever notices... he thought.

Sighs quietly.

Stretches as he walks down the hall. Narrowly misses a student. "Hey! You shouldn't just stand there. You could get hurt!" Exclaims at the new kid before continuing on.

Blinks, looks at the man who actually noticed him and talked to him! Then Matthew realizes maybe he should ask for help, so goes after the man, and gently touches his shoulder.
"E-excuse me...?" Says quite quietly, looking at the seemingly strict man.

Ludwig turns and raises an eyebrow before noticing the kid he almost bumped into. "Ja?" Ludwig asks, looking slightly confused.

"Um... I'm a bit lost, you see... Where's the class 7...?" Looking at the man, talks really quietly.

Ludwig pauses before pointing a little down the hall. "There. I'll walk you to class if you vant. Seeing as we have to same class." Ludwig chuckles lightly before starting toward the class.

"Merci, sir..." Smiles slightly, goes with the man.

Ludwig opens the door and gestures for Matthew to enter before going to his seat.

Bows his head as a thank you, then looks around, but notices that the only free seat is next to the man who helped him, so goes to him.
"E-excuse me... Is this seat free...?"

Ludwig looks up. Fate must really like him today. Ludwig thinks before smiling. "Ja. It is. You can sit there."

"Merci.." Smiles happily, sits down a bit slowly.
Then realizes he hasn't introduced himself yet.
"Um... My name is Matthew Williams... Pleasure to meet you, uh..."

Ludwig smiles. "Ludvig. Ludvig Beilschmidt. Pleasure to meet you Matthew." Ludwig grins before offering his hand.

Shakes Ludwig's hand, smiling.
"Oui, pleasure to meet you."

Ludwig smiles back. "Vell, how is first day so far?" he asked quietly just in case.

"Um, well... I know now that the school building is big..." Talking quietly, smiles.
"Have you been here for how long...?"

Ludwig pauses. "Vell... I zink about... one year ago." he ponders. "Or maybe two... Can't remember right now."

"I see... Is it nice to be here...?"

Ludwig nods. "Ja. Quite so. If someone's giving you trouble just tell me, or say to watch out for me. They should back off. Otherwise, just ignore any bullies." Ludwig warned. He wasn't going to mention his... reputation...

"Okay..." Wonders what kind of person this Ludwig is.

Ludwig crosses his legs before looking at the front as the lesson begins.
